Axmouth and Seaton are gateway towns to the Jurassic coast in East Devon.


The local market town, Axminster, where Hugh Fernley-Wittingstall is opening his organic farmshop and restaurant is 6 miles away.  Lyme Regis 5miles away. The Lyme Regis golfcourse (part of the coastal walk) is within walking distance.  

The renowned wetlands of the Axe estuary are within walking distance where Gannets, Common Scoter, Storm petrol and Arctic Skuas can be regularly seen, among other birds.  Seaton, (within walking distance) has shops, sea front beaches, cliff walks, beautiful gardens with a labyrinth, and an electric tramway which runs up the estuary to Colyton.


A few minutes drive takes you to the historic fishing village of Beer, Beer Quarry Caves, and Pecorama gardens.
